QuestLoveSupreme Archive: D’Angelo Anecdotes playlist

Just last week, I was listening to the QuestLoveSupreme episode where Quest and Common tell a funny story about how Chicken Grease was originally meant for Common until D’Angelo insisted that it was “His Funk”. One thing I’ve always appreciated about Questlove’s podcast is the heartwarming motions of D’Angelo he often shares with his guests. So, when Michael Eugene Archer transitioned to the ancestral realm, as a member of his congregation, I wanted to make an offering. As an archival story teller, I was drawn to the QuestLoveSupreme archives.

So I went through the transcripts looking for as many D’Angelo mentions as I could find, compiled them, and let various artists narrate a story told through nearly 2 hours of their anecdotes and his music.
